Have you heard of cannabidiol, or CBD, yet? If not, I’m sure you will sooner than later. According to Project CBD, “Cannabidiol is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits, but does not make people feel “stoned” and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC. The fact that CBD-rich cannabis is non-psychoactive or less psychoactive than THC-dominant strains makes it an appealing option for patients looking for relief from inflammation, pain, anxiety, psychosis, seizures, spasms, and other conditions without disconcerting feelings of lethargy or dysphoria.

My family and I were introduced to CBD oil a few months ago. I wasn’t sure about it at first because I wasn’t educated enough about it. I started looking into it some more and learned that the kind we were introduced to has less than .03% THC which means it does not have the psychoactive properties that make you feel high. It is also a full spectrum CBD oil, which is important, and very pure.
Being someone who is really open-minded and does not like conventional drugs (unless it’s life or death), I decided to give this Cannibidiol stuff a try. We have been using essential oils for years and have had great results with those so I thought maybe this would be just one more component in our health arsenal.
When I got my first bottle of the CBD oil, I started out really slow with only 3 drops twice a day. I did that for 4 or 5 days and then slowly built up to 10 drops twice a day. I am still taking it, 4 months later, and am happy to report that I have been sleeping better, have less anxiety, my sciatica pain is much less now, my PMDD symptoms that I experience each month are not as intense and I can handle situations better, my energy is higher and I have lost some weight (this was a pleasant side effect for me). My hubby has noticed a huge difference in his hay fever not being so bothersome.
I ran out of the CBD oil last month and I won’t ever let that happen again. I felt really irritated, tired, and just not myself (or at least my new self on CBD oil).
