Can Milk Cause Bedwetting?

Recently, I had a good friend call me to tell me about her 9 year old daughter.  She told me that she stopped buying cow’s milk for her family and picked up some almond milk instead to try.  She said that in the past three weeks since her daughter has not had any cow’s milk, she has not wet the bed.  The bedwetting has been an ongoing problem for my friend’s 9 year old daughter.  Bless my friend’s heart that she does not make a big deal about the bedwetting since she knows it isn’t her daughter’s fault.  She knows her daughter does not want to wet the bed and feels embarrassed about it but did not know how to help her… until now. What we learned from the Naturopathic Doctor (part 2 of 2)

Before my husband went to the Naturopathic Doctor for his first consultation, he said he was going to a ‘witch craft’ doctor.  I know holistic medicine is a fairly new concept to many people in the western world.  In our society, we see an ad about a new medicine that promises to do this for you (with these side effects) every single day.  Then, when you do get the side effects from a prescribed drug, you can run back to your M.D. to get another prescription to help with the side effects.  And the vicious cycle goes on. What we learned from the Naturopathic Doctor (part 1 of 2)

Happy Labor Day weekend!

As I promised in my first post, I would continue the discussion of what my family and I learned when we went to a Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.).  The doctor we saw uses a unique holistic approach, incorporating nutrition, muscle response testing, chiropractic, wellness, detoxification programs, weight loss programs, herbs, homeopathy and “live” ionized alkaline water to balance the body naturally.   The doctor’s purpose is to help as many people as possible without harmful drugs or needless surgery.
