Last weekend, we had a potential new babysitter over to meet our kids and us. She was very nice and asked a lot of great questions about the kids. She asked us if they have any food allergies (no, but they do have food intolerances to gluten and dairy which many people have but don’t realize. My intolerances were misdiagnosed as Irritable Bowel Syndrome). She was really curious about our holistic lifestyle and asked a lot of questions about what we eat, where we shop for our food, about our essential oils and diffuser and about our Tyent water ionizer.
Have you heard of the Standard American Diet or SAD? Well, it is just that – SAD! It should really stand for, “Sickly American Diet,” since that is what it is doing to people – making them sick. The Standard American Diet is so far from what is “real” food and quite honestly, it makes me so angry!

The food in the United States nowadays is really scary to me with all of the additives, GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms), trans fats and artificial this or that. And what seems even scarier to me is that these foods are touted as “healthy, natural, great for your body,” which is very far from the truth. Continue reading
Recently, I had a good friend call me to tell me about her 9 year old daughter. She told me that she stopped buying cow’s milk for her family and picked up some almond milk instead to try. She said that in the past three weeks since her daughter has not had any cow’s milk, she has not wet the bed. The bedwetting has been an ongoing problem for my friend’s 9 year old daughter. Bless my friend’s heart that she does not make a big deal about the bedwetting since she knows it isn’t her daughter’s fault. She knows her daughter does not want to wet the bed and feels embarrassed about it but did not know how to help her… until now. Continue reading
