Safe Removal of My Amalgam Fillings, Part 1

Have you ever had to have an amalgam (silver, mercury) filling removed? Did you give it a second thought at all? Did your dentist make it sound like it was a regular and safe procedure?  Was there no discussion at all about how to safely remove your amalgam fillings?

I wrote, “Should I Be Concerned About the Removal of Amalgam Fillings,” a few months ago.  Since then, I have done some research and talked to the IAOMT, International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, to find out more about locating a holistic dentist (meaning the dentist is taking into account the effects of what he/she does on the whole person) to safely remove the amalgam fillings in my mouth. I have also read all of the information that Leo Cashman, President of DAMS, Dental Amalgam Mercury Solutions, sent to me.

Homemade Taco Seasoning

Since I am no longer buying packaged taco seasoning, I made my own for the first time the other day.  It tasted very good, the kids loved it and I felt great knowing that there weren’t any harmful ingredients in it.  This recipe is extremely simple.  You can make a lot and just store it in a BPA-free (bisphenol) container.

Taco Seasoning Demystified

I put a Spicy Taco Recipe on my blog about a month ago.  I really thought I was making healthy tacos for my family and I.  Well, come to find out, I really wasn’t.  What I thought was a healthy taco seasoning, Simply Organic Spicy Taco, turned out to be a questionable product for me.

These Companies Donated Millions to Defeat Prop 37!! Take Action!!

Come on Americans!  Take Action!!!

The state of our food system is in utter chaos and WE can collectively do something about it!  Let’s take back OUR power and care about what we eat!  I think our grandparents, great-grandparents and so on would be appalled at what has become of our so called “food” nowadays!

If you care about what you and your families are eating, please read this, sign it and pass this along to others you care about.  We can make a difference!  We have to start somewhere!  It took me 2 minutes of my time to sign my husband and I up!

This information is from the Organic Consumers Association.  The brand’s parent companies listed below have donated millions of dollars to defeat Prop 37, the California Right to Know GMO labeling initiative.

What does this mean as a consumer?  It means that these brands do not want you to know what is in their products and by law, they don’t have to put all of the ingredients on a label.  So, you don’t know what you are eating!  All the companies truly care about is their bottom line and will use any cheap, unhealthy ingredients to make a buck!  We stopped buying Larabars since we really don’t know what is in them.  I now make my own!

With your help, we can get our food labeled and have a choice!  Please sign here:
